2006-04-24 jibbering - the 'learnt' aftermath It's been really amusing how much my last post hit a nerve with the people who read my diary. I've not received so many responses about one post in ages (both American and British) - and all in response to the one non-ME/CFS post that instead, refers to the use of grammar! Ha ha! Yes indeed, I have learnt ;-) that there are still many die-hard British-English speakers out there. (I salute you). Now I'm the first to admit that my grammar isn't perfect. So, when I got that message, I actually did start questioning whether I'd made up the word 'learnt'. I had to double-check in the dictionary! lol! Silly, I know. But you know when someone is just so adamant that a word does not exist? And because you've taken that word for granted all your life, there might be an element of doubt that it could, indeed be a word you made up... Oh where am I going with this point? I need to go to bed. I'm just jibbering. Now is that a real word, I wonder? lol No, please don't get your dictionary out and tell me. What still amazes me (even now) is that people actually read my diary! I don't know why I'm still surprised. You would have thought I'd get used to it, considering how popular Sleepydust has become. But it still shocks me when I get a message about a post I've made in this diary. You actually read this?????? Coooo-eeeee! Righty. I'm off to bed. It's 5am and my sleeping hours are completely reversed. So I guess I won't see the day tomorrow. See ya!
