2006-03-03 you can see my floor Goodness, I haven't updated in a while! All is well. My room is now decidely more serene. There is still yet more tidying and sorting to do, but I thought I'd take a breather for a while. There's only so much sorting a girl can do!! I can't believe how much difference it makes to be able to see my floor. All of a sudden it feels like my room can 'breathe'. As much as I'm a clutter bug, it got to the point where enough was enough I think. I wonder if being a clutter bug is in your genes? Are you born with it as a genetic defect do you think? Should it be called a defect even? Some people might say that clutter is comforting. In some ways I tend to agree - but there's only so much clutter you can have before it turns into a chaotic mound of... well crap! On the other hand, many people say that de-cluttering is essential for your spiritual well-being. The minimalist feel. I'm not sure I'd ever be able to be coined as a minimalist. I do like... stuff. But I think I did reach the point there where I realised that clutter really was affecting my well-being. I can safely say that now that I can compare. There's definitely a better 'flow' in my room. Of course a minimalist would come into my room and probably have a heart attack because there's still so much stuff in there. But you can see my floor! That's the point.
