christmas cheer and sneezes

Ahhh the festive period. Full of eating. Eating turkey, eating trifle, eating cake, eating chocolates. Eating too much in fact. lol

Christmas day was lovely. Everyone was jolly and full of good cheer, and Santa was most lovely to me. Even the cats had a good time, getting a chance to sample a few bits of turkey. All round, a most fab and relaxing day. :)

But soooooo long! I only manage to stay up about 6 hours or so at the most these days. So staying up all day really did me in. Hence feeling so pooped and zombified and the subsequent cold and sore throat...

The cold is one of those ME/CFS-type colds - the wierd ones which I seem to get now and then (I used to get them every other day so I can't complain).

The ME/CFS type colds I get are... well wierd! They are not like those catchy colds that you get from a bug or something. These ones don't seem to be catchy. But the intensity is just like a fully blown cold for about a day or so and then wham! All gone. By that time I have gone through at least one tissue box and have a bright red nose (yes I do look similar to rudolph the red-nosed reindeer right now lol).

I can often get those types of colds when I overdo it - and Christmas was a looooooooong day lol. This cold is still going, but I think the worst of it is over. Hurrah! I'm definitely feeling a little stronger today so that's a good thing. :)

What's the time? 4am. Hmmm. I got up at about 1am so I think I'll be up the rest of the night.
