2005-11-23 colds - remembering why I should take my supplements... Well, I've been up all night with a stinking cold. I've been longing for sleep for hours now, especially because I seem to be having a bout of hypersomnia at the moment. But, alas, this cold isn't letting me. So here I sit, with the laptop beside me, in bed, with a large fleecy shawl wrapped round my head. Colds. Lovely. Still - I might have a red nose, sore ears, bad headache, sore eyes, and sneezing like a trooper... but I don't have a sore throat (hurrah)! That's something to rejoice about because if there's one thing I despise, it's having a killer sore throat. No thank you. And anyway, my freaky colds usually only last a few hours. Up to 24 hours (usually) if it's one of those freaky CFS/ME-related colds. If it's a bug though, it lasts much longer. Right now, and from experience, I'd say it's one of my famous ME/CFS related colds, but we shall see. Can I sleep now pleeeeease? Hmmmm.... what else can I ramble on about? My brain is far too tired and foggy to do anything useful. In fact I've been sneezing so much that this entry is taking me ages to write. I've taken loads of echinacea, aerobic oxygen drops, zinc, vitamin C... It's my fault. Sometimes I go through spells where I stop taking my supplements for a few days. Then I get worse and remember why I take them in the first place. Better get back to taking them I think. :(
