2005-06-21 hayfever & high temperatures... A lovely weekend - albeit a hot one! With temperatures reaching 31 degrees C., us Brits have been basking in the hot sunshine. Hot is the word. Muggy and sticky. Maybe great for most, but for a Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome sufferer with hayfever, I've had better times lol I just don't respond well to extreme temperatures. While I was ok when it was 20 degress or so, 30 degrees has got my CFS symptoms playing havock with my system again. Alas, hayfever too, always gets the better of me, so I have spent much of the time feeling itchy and keeping kleenex tissues in business lol. Father's day was on Sunday. It is always quite sad for me because I lost my Dad in 2001. But I just tried not to think about it. It was really hot that day so we had a barbeque - something I enjoyed (tasty!) amongst sneezing, but totally wiped me out, as you can imagine! Still, it's days like this (CFS symptoms and hayfever aside) that I will cherish. Spending quality time with the family in the sunshine. Lovely. Meanwhile, I've launched a new sub-section all about mononucleosis (other wise known as Glandular Fever) and Epstein Barr Virus.
